ideal for city Explorations with quick access to parks and landmarks
I loved this spot for its close proximity to both Matthew Webb monument, just over 2 km away, and the beautiful Priorslee Lake which is less than a 30-minute stroll, making it a perfect base for my city adventures while enjoying a fantastic cooked-to-order breakfast and the warmth of the friendly staff.

Great stay, awesome food!
Had to travel for work and was blown away by the service. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. My room was spotless and the bed felt amazing. Breakfast was on point—really fresh! Only thing was the Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times.

I was on a solo trip to attend a training event nearby and had a comfortable stay. The room was tidy and had all the amenities I needed. A clean bathroom. What stood out most was the friendly staff who made my stay enjoyable and the good location close to my training venue. The breakfast was decent, although I wished I could have requested honey.

The room was cozy and spotlessly clean. Loved the comfy bed. I seriously slept like a rock! Plenty of tea and coffee options were provided. The en suite was nice too, with heaps of hot water. Only downside? The pillows could’ve been a bit plusher. And even though it was by a busy road, I barely heard any traffic noise.

I had a pleasant time at the White Horse Tavern Bed & Breakfast. The location is fantastic. Parking is convenient, which I appreciated right away. The staff greeted me warmly, making me feel at home. My room was clean and comfortable with all the essentials. The shower pressure was great, and I loved the supply of tea and coffee available. Breakfast was included, and while the menu was limited, it offered good value. I particularly enjoyed the full English breakfast. the soap and shampoo provided in the on-suite could use some improvement—they required quite a bit to be effective. This isn’t a deal-breaker, but it’s worth mentioning.

Tucking into those fruit preserves at breakfast was a delightful treat that tickled my taste buds! The spacious room came equipped with a big shower and comfy bed, making it feel like home. The welcoming spirit of the owner added a special touch to the whole experience.
If anything, the pillows could’ve used a bit more fluff. they felt a little flat even when stacked.

Modern, comfortable rooms with great service
I recently stayed in a Twin Room Upper Level for two nights and was thoroughly impressed by the modern decor and quality furniture. The staff, particularly Rob and his team, were incredibly helpful and ensured that breakfast was a delightful experience with plenty of quality options. Dinner was equally satisfying, featuring generous portions made from fresh ingredients. The only downside was that the area could be a bit quieter during weekends, but overall, a fantastic stay.
